While Vail is famous for its snow sports, it’s also widely known for its summer activities. The highly acclaimed Bravo Music Festival runs from late June thru early August and will again host the world-famous New York Philharmonic and Philadelphia Orchestra and the Rochester Symphony. The Music Festival will be followed by the similarly acclaimed International Dance Festival with principal dancers from the world's best known ensembles. Also delighting visitors this summer are the popular Vail Jazz Festival, two Oktoberfests, an exciting rubber duck race, several large sporting events, an Art Festival and more. Experience the new streetscapes and buildings of Vail’s multi Billion Dollar Renewal. Or join the many visitors who come to Vail just to enjoy the fabulous summer weather, golf, biking, hiking, fishing, Alpine flower gardens, ambiance and, of course, our extraordinary Farmers' Market.

The Vail Farmers' Market & Art Show focuses on farm and food products and the Market attracts many of the best vendors in Colorado. The Vail Farmers' Market consists of more than one hundred tents each week, multiple entertainment venues and attracts over 120,000 visitors.

Farmers arrive early every Sunday with refrigerated trucks loaded with freshly picked conventional and organic fruits and vegetables. Specialty vendors work from colorful tents selling freshly made breads, pastries, cheeses, salsas and ice cream. Others offer delightful selections of pastas, jams, chocolate sauces, smoked salmon, olive oils, vinegars, maple syrup, soaps, dog treats, Colorado wines, jerky, spices, wild Alaskan seafood, and more. Selections change weekly. Linger in the artist & artisan section for mementos of Vail or visit some of the many fine shops and galleries nearby.

Food vendors will tickle your palate with crepes, schnitzel sandwiches, salads, cheesesteaks, bbq, turkey legs, brats, gyros, burgers, hot dogs, roasted nuts, lemonade, coffee drinks and the list goes on.  Live entertainment features Jazz @ the Market and guest appearances by popular regional groups. Local non-profits provide information and raffle tickets for interesting prizes. Experience Vail’s rebirth with several BILLION dollars of new hotels, lodges, streetscapes, shops, restaurants and condominiums. The #1 ski resort in North America for 14 of the last 19 years just keeps getting better!

Come and join in the fun!!  The dates for summer, 2008 are Sundays, mid June through early September, 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Check back frequently for updates.
