I developed a fondness for toffee in high school when my sister came home with my grandmother’s toffee recipe. As I watched her try to conquer this sometimes challenging candy, my interest in toffee grew because of its wonderful buttery-crunchy taste and complex nature. For years, I gave away toffee at Christmas. Friends and neighbors urged me to se it because it was SO good. Ruth’s Toffee was born when I made a New Year’s resolution to start selling the toffee or give up on the idea. Since then, with help and support from my family we’ve been selling our hand-crafted treats all over the world.
