I got the idea to start making candles while living in a cabin in the woods on a mountain in Colorado. This cabin had no electricity so in the long cold Colorado winters I burned a lot of candles. Burning candles in my tiny cabin often gave me headaches and itchy eyes. When I learned that these symptoms can be caused by the toxins found in candles with petroleum based waxes and scented with synthetic fragrances I set out to make my own all natural, nontoxic, environmentally friendly candles. My candles begin with a base of US grown non GMO Soy wax.  The wax is then scented with only pure Essential oils.  This mixture is hand poured into containers that are made in the U.S. recycled, or reclaimed.  The wicks are made from only cotton.
