The Meadow Drive Partnership, the organizer of the Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show, is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Vail Harvest Festival. The enormously successful Vail Farmers’ Market will culminate on its final weekend with the Vail Harvest Festival. Last year’s successful Cookie, Pie & Jam Contests will again be contended to determine the Best of the Vail Valley.

A new Fall Foliage decorating competition will be waged between the Meadow Drive merchants to determine the best “Storefront Décor”.  Harvest festival decorations including the local merchants’ competition will be completed on Saturday afternoon. The event is scheduled to coincide with prime leaf peeping in the mountains that is enjoyed by Front Range residents every fall. The entry form is available on line.

Great prizes will be up for grabs as professional & amateur bakers & chefs compete in the 2nd annual pie baking contest, cookie baking contest and jam contest. There will be 4 categories:  Professional, Amateur, Teen and Children that will insure that the competition brings out the best around. Turn your entry & recipe card in on Sunday morning by 10:45am at the Village Inn Plaza. Juried judging will be held from 11:00am to 12:00 noon with people’s choice judging from 12:00 to 1:00pm and then join us for the awards ceremony at 1:30. The entry form is available on line.
